Help For The Very Few Little Problems Of My 1996 Carina E

Recommended Posts

I still drive with complete satisfaction my 1996 Carina 1,6 GLI...only 260 kkm!

I think that 16 valve and electronic ignition are the "premium" to this tough japanese jewel.

If I could I would buy another one....nos!

I ask some help to know:

- what to do for the temporary start/ignition key temporary illumination: it was always on, so I had to take

the bulb away!

- how to reach the digital clock to replace a burnt bulb;

- what is advisable to have .. on board to avoid to have a dead car: are there contact points?

Eveybody's help will be much appreciated!

BTW we also have an old Nissan Micra 1 liter: same incredible...QUALITY!

Hi

The only one I can help with is the digital clock

If you remove the centre panel (prise out from the sides) containing the clock, buttons, air vents and radio surround you will see the clock has a orange block sticking out the top which you twist to remove and this holds the bulb. Very easy to do.

Hope that makes sense ?
