Rear Wheel Bearing Hub Replacement?

I'm sure this isn't a new topic but I wondered is this job achievable by an average home mechanic (me)

I believe with my model of Rav that has AWD the complete hub needs to be replaced.

All help, comments etc., gratefully received.

Was quoted £590 this morning by Mr T. :dontgetit:

Thanks

I believe the hub is fitted on a spline and not a taper so should be possible to remove without a sturdy puller.

There is the problem of tightening the hub nut as it is torqued down to something like 160ft-lbsft, so you would need a wrench that could do that. Maybe you could hire one. please use a new split pin though

Someone put a link on here to e-bay a while ago, where you could purchase a complete hub assembly for not a lot. It's then a matter of undoing nuts and bolts and replacing the assembly.
