Cabin Vibrations On Idle Help?

Last week i had my wheel bearing changed followed by a clutch kit fitted to the car as the thrust bearing was screwed and when I got vibrations that then disappeared upon pressing the clutch.

However now at idle my vibrations actually seem to be worse?? If I up the revs to 700-900 then the vibrations actually disappear! Any help on what it might be or how in can get rid of them?

The car itself drives fine and there is nothing wrong with it but the cabin vibrations.

Hi Daniel, firstly can I just say that the details of your car on your profile do not tell us a lot about it.

Petrol or diesel? Manual or auto ?

The petrol engined ones tend to run at about 7500 RPM on tickover so maybe that is the problem.

Its at 2.2 diesel and sits at 700 rpm but once increased to circa 900 rpm the vibrations tend to dissapear

Have a look at the silencer heat shield, they rust at the corners where they attach to the silencer and cause problems.

Will check when I'm home in a week or so but the vibrations feel a bit more serious than a heat shield almost like they're comming up through pedals?

Vibrations at idle that go with revving or when pressing clutch could well be a faulty dual mass flywheel

God I hope not as I've just fitted a clutch kit. The wife seems to think they're there more often.

That was my first thought if I'm honest but they'd have been picked up when fitting clutch kit I'd have thought? Would the, being lose or over tight cause my problem?
