Noise From The Wheel-Area

Greetings fellow Toyotaholics :)

I'm a new member here, but I've been reading along for a while and I enjoy the insight and discussions on this site, so thank you for that :)

My reason for writing here, is that I've recently bought an 2013 Avensis 2.0 D4D with a milage of around 28.000. It's a super car and I'm very happy with it so far! I have a fairly long commute to and from work each day, so naturally I spend a lot of time in the car.

So here's my issue. When driving along a road that's not entirely even/maybe just a TAD uneven, I'm hearing a sort of clicking/vibration noise from just behind the wheel to the right. I don't really think it's the wheel itself, but rather something "behind it". Turning the wheel has no effect on the noise at all. Actually nothing I seem to do has any effect :( frustrating.

I've attached a picture of an Avensis 2013 dashboard and circled the area from where I think the noise is coming from. It's not my car, just did an image search :)

Do you guys have any idea what might be making this clicking noise?

Best regards and thanks

Mikael J

This kind of unexplained noise can drive a guy crazy. I know because something similar is happening to me. I don't know if my problem is related to yours but see if the thread helps you: http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/166415-strange-rattling-noise-from-dashboard/?p=1379137

When uneven road was mentioned I was thinking auto headlight levellers adjusting via remote sensor or sender or relay or something in the dash? Xenons req auto levelling by law
