hi, could anybody tell me which cam the vvt sensor reads (the inlet or outlet cams) trying to find the problem with cam and crank not in sync,it is a 2008 yaris 1.3 petrol with 29000 miles, would a timing chain stretch so quick with 29000 miles on it,thanks

If it has been serviced properly, you should have no issues.

Properly for a low mileage car is annual oil and filter changes to the correct specification.

Old oil in a car used for short journeys will wear chains rapidly.. especially from cold as the chain will be starved of oil when the engine starts turning..

A worn chain rattles - especially when starting from cold...Does yours?
