yes disconnect from the Battery and tape the end up, or remove the fuse!

otherwise youve still got a full on live powercable!

One that could make you very crispy and dead!

A mate of mine years ago shorted his watch on the Battery and it basically melted the skin off where his watch had been, scarred for life... but luckily not dead.

yes do be careful there is a crap load of current in them batterys

batterys can cold crank at 450amps remember!

on a pop quiz - how many amps does it take to kill you?

answer - 30 milliamps! or 0.03amps!

and the batterys got a potential of 450!

just bear that in mind when playing with batterys and be very very careful!

ahhh.. reminds me of old conversations...

BTW Rob, 30 milliamps can only kill you if its an AC current, and has its poles opposite sides of your chest (i.e. across the heart)... that current will just give you a nasty burn... but could do internal damage...

So be warned!

thats very true Ian

although ive just done this as a general warning and to keep safe when working with batterys

weve had enough of broken yaris's over the last month, we dont want no broken drivers to add to the insult!
