We purchased our Aygo mmt in 2008, looking at the new style which again has the mmt gearbox. Talking to staff at showroom who say that the by a disc used to have the same type mmt gearbox.

So can anyone givevus some info on which years didvthe proper mmt gearbox fitted to the Yaris and what Style and Spec levels were there.

We need a mmt type gearbox as firstly I am disabled so need acauto , but mainly because we tow the car on a A Frame behindva motorhome and this type of auto gearbox can be towed for many miles.

Thank in advance for help received.

The second generation Yaris (2006-2011) had the Multi Mode transmission as an option on the 1.3, the later 1.33, and the 1.4D4D diesel. See the following 2009 brochure for information on grades, etc - http://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/cdnlive.toyotaretail.co.uk/Owners-Info-PDF/Yaris-July-2009.pdf

While they are both MMT (which basically means it's a manual box shifted with electric actuators) it's possible the Aygo gearbox itself (1.0l engine) is different from the Yaris (1.3l and up).

I imagine the towability of most manual/MMT boxes will be the same but check before you buy.
