New Brake Discs

Hi guys the Deakin here havnt been on for a while as the the avensis has been going well i am glad to report,but i have noticed that my brake discs are nearly in need of changing i normaly buy these of toyota but was wondering what make they are to see if i can get them any cheaper on the net,i know they can be bought cheap but sometimes they are rubbish and no matter what brake pads you put on they squeal like a banshee this i could do without.Thanks all

If memory serves the pads are Bosch but I'm not sure about the discs. I have used Pagid discs and pads on the front and am very happy with them. Easily as good as OEM in my view. They have been on the car for ages and are holding up very well. The rears need changed soon and I will go for Pagid again.

Hi Deakin,

I probably wouldnt use adl blueprint disc and pads again next time I will stick to Mintex which I have used for years.

Pagid are oem for some manufacturers, I have a set of genuine pads with pagid stamped on them.

Pagid & Mintex are sister brands as part of TMD Friction.

On my T25 I used MTEC discs & Ferodo Premier pads - not the cheapest option but I was very happy with the improved feel & performance.

On our avensis t25 pagid were oem on the front and Bosch in the rear.
