Hi everyone,I'm curious about the latest yaris hybrid which has been updated.it doesn't state if it has traction control or abs brakes like the 2012,13 model has.can someone tell me that these specs are still standard coz it just says it has v stability control

According to the brochure the Yaris has Anti-Lock Brakes, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Brake Assist and Vehicle Stability Control across the range. VSC in a lot of cars has replaced traction control as it operates individual brakes as well as varying engine output (which is what traction control does).

isn't esc/vsc now a mandatory requirement for new cars within the EU? It is in the US.

Yes it became mandatory for new cars with new Type Approval from Nov 2011, and for all new cars from November 2014

Thx 4 the replies, here is all I can find in their brochure about active safety & they don't specify abs and traction control like they did in 2012/13 model

Vehicle Stability Control (the replacement for Traction Control), Tyre Pressure Warning System, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist are all covered on page 14 of the current Yaris Hybrid brochure.

So the current brochure does specify these standard fitments on the Yaris.
