How Do I "improve" The 2.2 Diesel?

And by "improve", I mean give it more power. I think I will do an ecu remap, but is there anything else (reasonably cheap) I can do before that?

I don't think you can do a denso ECU remap as not really been cracked yet by mappers although there are one or two out there who claim to do so (on my 09' T180 2.2) The best thing to do is fit a quality 'tuning box', ask 'KINGO' as his seems to be the best out there and is UK based (Chester I believe) The tech guys on here will give you more advice,good luck n' let us know what you get sorted.

vw audi seat skoda = vag ( Volkswagen audi group)

avensis doesn't have much scope for improving power other than a tuning box

the vag scene is way ahead in terms of tuneability and supporting mods

dmf lifespan will reduce with more torque, a costly repair

The thing is... I was wondering if it would be possible to convert it into some kind of ideal Q car; I mean, NO ONE suspects a tuned Avensis, right?

You can fit one of our boxes, it will transform the drive and give you up to 25% more torque. It is the only way to go as the ECU has never been cracked
