Replacement Of Recirculation Damper Servo Sub–Assy

Over the last few months I've noticed an occasional clicking from behind the glove box - in the last week it's become almost constant. I removed the glove box while it was clicking and discovered it was a white plastic arm making the noise. From a bit of reading I've discovered this is the servo for recirculation.

The problem is that it appears that the only way of getting to it is to remove the blower first - and whilst I've downloaded the Avensis Repair Manual and found instructions for removal of the blower and the RECIRCULATION DAMPER SERVO SUB–ASSY, it first mentions first removing the Instrument Panel Lower Assy, the ECM and the air duct No. 2 - which it refers to pages in the manual that aren't included in the documents I downloaded.

Does anyone know where to get instructions for these preliminary steps? I'm also a bit wary because in the pages I do have from Chapter 71 (Instrument Panel) it warns that some operations may affect the SRS airbags, and advises to read the SRS airbag notice - which I also don't have.

Given that according to the following information the part might not even need to be replaced (just bending the terminals can fix it), I'm sure it would be better to do this myself for free, than to potentially spend hundreds of pounds getting my Toyota dealer to do it. On the other hand - it's vital I don't interfere with airbags etc. so I really want to find suitable instructions first.

Thanks for any help!

PS. It's a 2006 face-lift D4D Avensis estate
