Popping Sound

Hi, my 2003 Rav has started to make a small popping sound when im steering, it happens when i reverse off my drive or steering into a parking space when the steering is almost at full lock, it only makes the sound once, anyone any ideas please? Ive done around 75,000 miles and had the car since new.

try putting full lock on and do a few circles, then try the other full lock (both sides) and see what you can hear, it sounds like a CV joint, but it's more of a knocking sound, but if you try the above and you hear nothing it's not that....

Thanks for your reply, turns out there was a loose clip on the front gaitor so as i turned the steering it was catching and that caused the popping sound, all sorted now
