I have Toyota Yaris sedan 2007 model NCP92R-BEPRK. it makes heavy
rattling sound when i do warm start of the car. Morning time or when engine is cold there is no
sound.. The interesting thing is that the noise goes away
after i drive for few minutes. It only does on startup.

Does anyone have any idea on what could be the issue with it.

Thanks so much.

Where is the rattling noise coming from?

How long has it been doing it? Has it recently had an oil change?

Rattling noise on startup is usually caused by oil starvation. And that is usually caused by:

lack of oil

wrong oil

filter blocked

wrong filter

filter leaking oil back into engine when not running. Usually caused by using a cheap non Toyota filter.

So:

check oil

and as above: has it been serviced recently?

Is the oil filter a new Toyota one?

this noise started say 3 months back. I change oil at every 5000 miles, and use geneuni oil filter everytime i change oil. Car does not chew oil. Oil level remains same after 5000 km. rattling noise is at left side of da car engine when you face the car from front.

thanks alot
