Fitting Rear Door With Spare Wheel To 2012 Model

I have a 2012 RAV4 with no spare wheel or carrier - does anybody know if the rear door from a 2006 with the spare wheel on the door will fit on the 2012 model? The door looks the same shape and size and the local dealer is somewhat unhelpful.
