Injectors Noisy Following Replacement Of One

Hi

First post on the board and would appreciate any opinions.

I'm having an issue with 2011 2.0l d4d avensis. The car had become very smokey in the last few weeks so brought it to the mechanic who cleaned the egr valve and manifold etc. This didn't solve the problem and a few days later the car went into limp mode. It showed up as an injector fault. Having isolated the injector which was faulty it was replaced. This cleared the fault and the car is running fine but the injectors are louder than before and it doesn't sound right.

Mechanic advised to leave it for a few days to allow the system to automatically regulate or correct the injector. Just wondering has anyone had this issue after changing an injector.

The new injector should have its Compensation code input into the cars memory if this is not done then diesel clatter is the first result followed by a quickly failing injector or possible engine damage, was the new injector coded to the car or just installed?
