Gearbox Problen Is It He Sychro Or Cables

I have a 1.5 t-sport which wont go into first gear it does not crunch , just had to find it , I have been told different things by garages which include synchro, gear selector , gearbox needs replacing any thoughts

Engine OFF

Does it go into gear.?

If yes, it's the flywheel or clutch or both.

Have the brakes been bled recently?

If yes, was the clutch bled?

If no, bleed the clutch...

After you answer that, we'll proceed further.

It goes into every other gear perfectly just first gear it has the problem its like it hits the side of gearbox so have to pull it back slightly ,
