Avensis !

hi first post on here just wondering about the reliability of the new avensis d4d diesels as i have to change my car and had heard these cars are excellent cheers!!

got a d4d in march.

so far had no problems with the mechanics just a couple of electrical faults.

doesnt pull as well as my vw tdi which has less power but returns about 46mpg which is also less than the tdi.

i havent driven the competition so i dont have anything to compare it to but so far i am pleased with it.

I don't own an Avensis diesel, but I would recommend you try a new Accord diesel first as the car itself is better than the Avensis (not that the new Avensis is bad by any means) although they do cost more, and all the motoring press have said that it's the best diesel engine you can buy.

Well i have a Avensis D4D 10/03 and im very satisfied with it.

It pulls quite well not a tdi but well...

The contruction quality is superb and the ride is very good.

But go and see the Honda because everybody says it's very good.

The Final choice is yours.

cheers folks i think i will have a wee look @ the accord but if im being honest i think im gonna have to plump for the avensis as it looks a ton better than the accord !!!! :D

by the way does anyone know how long the warranty is on the new avensis ???? cheers

3yrs but as with most manufacturers you can now extend it up to 7yrs. costs about £500 for 2 years. at our dealer the price list is on the wall, next time i go in i will take a note.

I agree with you, avensis looks much better than the accord..
