Setting Ta Volume

I've searched the site and only found the procedure I've already followed, ie. Switch on TA, wait for a traffic announcement and then adjust volume to suit. The problem is, when I do this the volume jumps around. Is this a known 'characteristic', or do I have a fault?

I've a poverty spec, non-DAB, standard set-up.

The volume changes, rapidly and randomly from a very high level to a low level.

I should also mention the volume from the USB port is very low. I usually have to wind the volume up to near the '50' mark to get an acceptable level.

Sounds like you may have some sort of fault there unfortunately... (have never seen it do that on mine...)

USB volume is low [compared to radio] with mine too, by about 10 'units'.

Attempted to try level 50, but my ears started to bleed around the 40 mark
