Sms Function Not Working

I got my Yaris yesterday and i have connected it to bluetooth. All functions are working apart from the sms function. My partners is working but mine isnt. I have an iPhone and he has a Samsung. Please help! Thanks

...to find out if your model of iPhone is fully compatible...

(just did a quick check and it looks as if most models of iPhone are NOT compatible for messaging (sms or e-mail))

I have tried to get onto the website but it isnt letting me do a check. No options to check are coming up
