Hi everyone

I have Auris with Mmt transmision. Car is shaking a lot and not drive without pressing acceleration pedal on reverse gear and doesn't start smoothly on first gear. Does anyone know what is wrong with this car. Thanks

Assuming there are no MMT/Engine warning lights then the first port of call would be a Toyota dealer to have the MMT systems re-intialised. This will re-learn both the gear and clutch positions and should give you back the creep function.

+1 have these same symptoms and guys at Toyota told me I need to book it for MMT reset. It is also worth checking which MMT ECU you have, as there are at least 3 different versions available. Mine was updated 2 times during the warranty period. Every time the functionality of the MMT increased and it became less laggy.

There is a procedure you could try, it might help or might not but you won't cause any damage trying.

1. Make sure the ignition is off and gear selector in the N position.

2. Turn the ignition ON and wait at least 40 seconds. You will hear the gearshift and selector actuator selecting gears.

3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait at least 15 seconds.

4. Make sure the shift lever is in the N position, press and hold down the brake pedal, turn the ignition ON and start the engine. The shift indicator on the instrument panel should blink when the engine is started.

5. Wait at least 10 seconds, checking that the shift N position has stopped blinking and is continuously displayed.

Speed Chaser, it's part of the procedure to initialise the MMT ECU and perform MMT system calibration as shown in the attachment. With the MMT, anything's worth a try
