3 Door Rav 4 1998 Exhaust

My 1998 Rav 4 3 Door is in good nick as most of those I`ve seen from that era are but has just reached the stage where it requires a full Exhaust Replacement.

My Toyota Dealer is quoting £900 which on my age of vehicle is not a good investment is it?

However, I am loathed to go elsewhere because of the risk of "botching"

How have fellow owners of this age of Rav overcome this please?

Glad you"re enjoying your 1998 RAV4. I have the same date Rav, a 1998 3 door in RED which we bought 2 years ago as a stop gap until I could afford another Land Rover, but we liked the Rav so much we decided to keep it. However I will be selling it within the next few months.

Regarding your Exhaust:

Mr Exhaust (You can look up their centres on the internet) quote £734 for a Complete System but this does include over £400 just for the Manifold Catalyst. The Front/Middle Pipes and the Rear Box are more reasonably priced at £389 fitted.

My Exhaust is blowing slightly and even though I am a sprightly 70+ I will buy the appropriate part and try to replace it myself. Shouldn"t be too hard to do!!!!!!!! I HOPE.

I have had the Rav from new and it's still looking good at 17 years old!

The problem is sorted - with looking at suppliers and hearing recommendations I have had a supply and fit from a well established local company with no problems

Full kit including manifold parts and sensor: guaranteed 2 years

Cost £350 total inc VAT

Not Toyota part unfortunately but suits me where I am with this as explained
