Uprated Turbo Question...

Ok....

If I got the Stage3 CT26 from Fensport, what else would be needed ?

Stage 3 CT26 = 795

They said forgies and larger fuel injectors. Is that all ? No uprated fuel pump etc, or HGasket work ?

Ross Forgies = £425

Injectors... I dunno.. what's needed ? Alot on Fsport say for rev3 only etc. Mmmm.. any help please !

Anything else that's cheap that might as well go in at the same time ?

metal head gasket m8? if u havnt already got it?, get the head skimmed/ported/polished too?

U could use the fuel rail from rev3 maybe?, would be cheaper?

What does the stage 3 include m8?

Completely rebuilt using New Steel shaft and 48mm compressor wheel - rebuilt & balanced to racing standards, Choice of uprated actuator - 360 degree Thrust bearing.

Guide:- Our top of the range CT26, The choice for serious power, Ideal up to 1.5 bar boost, on cars with larger fuel injectors and forged pistons. Full boost is available from 3,200 rpm.power up to 360bhp.

Fensport replied saying...

To get the most from this turbo you would need forged pistons, metel headgasket & uprated bolts/studs, you would also benifit from larger injectors if your unichip can control them. You would also be advised to use water injection on this model.

yep they're bang on with that advice as that turbo is the equivelent of my stg 2 CT20b. this will hold 1.5-1.6bar at the red line. std 205 pistons give up at about 1.3bar (trust me i know cos i broke mine) so yes there will be a benifit of fitting it on its own and keep the boost level safe but u wont be getting the mot from it.

really if ur thinking of going this route then think of it as a full rebuild ive just had a quote from fennies for the bits for the rolla rebuild and that was £1500 without the block crank and rods i need.

this was for set of JE forgies (better than the ross ones)

1.2mm HKS head gasket

ARP rod and main bolts (reccomended)

main and big end bearings

new oil pump

engine gasket set

ARP head bolts

timing belt

and a couple of other sundries

dont let me put you off though cos it will be awsome if you do it

cheers
