Mechanics

Hi there!

I'm new to this site which quite frankly never knew existed until a friend and I were dicussing our servicing woes when he suggested looking on the net for advice from fellow Toyota owners about trustworthy, reliable mechanics in my area. I would greatly appreciate any recomendations as I really love my 1990 2.5L v6 Camry, it's has been in two accidents, stolen once, driven around Europe, a few dents, scratches and a patched exhaust but still going strong.

I live in Welling, Kent so if any kind person could let me know if there are any mechanics in my area I'd be eternally greatful.

Here we have a new member asking for advice and you go tell him something he has probably done already, perhaps in the past...

We all know there are laods of cowboys and rip-off merchants in the Yellow pages.

Spetzarv, if you were in the midlands, I may have been able to Help. Nicola is originaly from the South East, perhaps she knows somewhere reputable. She definately knows somewhere you MUST NOT take your car to. I'll ask her to reply to this thread.

I am sure there will also be some other members popping in sometime to give a slightly more helpful response.

YELLOW PAGES! Domeafavor, any mug can put an add in there and claim to be a specialist grease monkey with a British Standard kite mark stamped on his forehead and turn out to be as useful as a glove puppet to a penguin.

Thanks System~G for your kind response. I'm sure some sensible recomendations will be forth coming. Getting the heads up on garages to AVOID would be just as valuable.
