Will I Get An Standard 'build In' Oven In Aygo Boot?

Recommended Posts

I would like to pick up a standard 595 x 595 x 550mm 'build in' oven but only have a Aygo.
With the rear seats folded down I've managed to cart all kinds of stuff about but I'm not sure about the limitations of the boot opening.
I know I could go and try but it's a fair distance to drive if it's not going to fit.

Anybody have any idea whether it would fit?

Thanks

Eileen

Thanks for your reply.

Do you remember how easy or tricky it was to get the oven in and out of the Aygo?

get a piece of cardboard and cut it to your size of 595 x 595 x 550mm and see if it will fit through the opening

and also get past the wheel arches.

I'd say that it wouldn't fit :disgust:

I tried to get a standard sized tumble-dryer in my '12 plate Black, and it just wouldn't fit through the boot door, or through the rear-doors even though there was space inside with the seats folded. Admittedly, a tumble-dryer is taller (at 850mm) but the cross section is the same (600x600mm)

In the end I removed the packaging and sat the tumble-dryer on the passenger seat which worked perfectly well for the 25 mile return journey. I'd say that so long as you protect your seats the front seat is probably the easierst option for your oven.

I tried the box idea and like you found S_J_P it just won't go through the opening.

Tried getting the box through the front door as well as I have a 3 door model but it was hopeless.

Doh, didn't think about putting it on the seat. Have plenty of moving boxes and some scraps to secure it, so that's a possibility especially as the cheapest quote for moving it the 40 miles I need was £50.

I got a 42 inch TV stand in the back of mine.
