:hammer: :hammer:hi all. I have a constant noise [sort of rasping noise] coming from the front of my 2002 2ltr auto vvti. have changed the tyres and its still there. my question could it be a dry drive shaft. ? is there a method of lubricating the shaft if, and or they need doing in the first place. it might even be cabin noise perhaps. has anyone else had a similar problem. my garage has road tested the car and say its nothing to worry about. would be grateful for any input, thanks..

Car noises are hard to find when you are there, even harder help without more info.

The first question is the noise speed related, change when steering or braking, rubbing sound or rattling?

I would look at the disc shield in case it is rubbing. These can corrode.

If the car has been inspected by the garage, they would have made sure the CV joints and gaiters are okay.
