Rear Seat Not Locking In Place

Hi

This is my first post.

I recently had an MOT test done and failed for a couple of reasons.

1st - Near side break binding - got that fixed, drum and shoe were cleaned.

2nd - Rear passenger seat insecure.

Here are some pics I took

Now the things on the seat are not locking into the hole. The MOT place (kwik fit) said they couldn't fix it there. I went to another garage, they had a look, sprayed WD40, but no fix. They hammered it in some places to get the spring and lock unstuck as they were not moving at all. But even then it still won't lock any help? Also are there any parts missing?

Well had to buy a new seat in the end £30, locking mechanism on the bottom of the seat was broken and just wouldn't work.

For £30 I guess it was a pre-owned 'new' seat. But well done for managing to sort it without the usual heartstopping bills.

Lucky it was the mechanism on the seat and not the hole in the floor (I assume) at fault. That would have been more interesting to fix I suspect.
