Neighbour bumped my car resulting in damage to off side front wheel and bumper, car repaired by Toyota. Now the steering wheel is 5 degrees to the right.,, contacted Toyota and inform them of the issue they asked me to return upon doing so they say that the left hand side tracking is faulty had that readjusted and steering wheel is still 5 degrees to the right. Asked engineer if it would be possible to re centre the steering wheel advise me no. they are giving me a ring on Monday to discuss further work. In a word help.

Absolutely no excuse for not re-aligning steering geometry correctly.

If laser optical alignment is fitted to the car, all you do is set the steering wheel in its centre position and adjust each front wheel independently to OEM standards using the rear wheels as reference if it's not possible to get it correct, something is normally bent and requires investigation.

It's crap workmanship ... someone needs kicking or training.

With the tracking correct it just requires an equal adjustment of both track rods in the same direction to correct the steering wheel. Simples!

Don't blame you, that's pretty pathetic if they can't centre a steering wheel and straighten the wheels

Glad you got it sorted!
