Auris Short Shifter?

Hi guys, no doubt someone else has explored this but I'm struggling to find out any real info on it. I was wondering if it would be possible to modify or if there's a short shifter kit available for the Auris? My Auris is a 2009 model before the facelift, not that I think it would make a difference. If anyone has any information about them or has fitted a short shifter I'd be interested to know how you got on. Thanks in advance.

I have been interested in this as well, all I know about it is that its cable driven. Don't know if that makes it any harder to do.

Not sure if this would work as I think the Auris was still a corolla in some countries, may have to give them an email but see what you guys think. http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshifters/toyotashortshifters/toyotacorollashortshifters.htm

Corolla has the shifter on the floor, not lifted to the console like Auris, so it probaply won't fit.

The Canadian Corolla is the US Corolla sedan - larger than the Auris with the same size wheelbase as the Avensis, so quite different to the first generation Auris.

Anything from Corolla won't fit, you're right. But Auris is called Corolla in some countries. 1st generation is Corolla ZRE152 and newest gen is Corolla ZRE182. There is no Auris at all in Japan and Australia.

Thanks guys, I don't suppose the Blade is the same either? I know you can get short shifters for cable linkages like on the EP Honda civics but I'm surprised nobody has done one for the Auris yet. I found earlier that for some of the Renault Megane's the short shifter was a bracket where the cables meet the gearbox housing rather than the other end. Don't know if this is any help.

The Blade used the 2.4 litre engine and the Blade Master/Master G used the 3.5 litre V6. Photos I've seen of the Blade dashboard are only automatics - so don't know whether they were all automatic or whether some manuals were sold.

I thought I'd seen some manuals but oh well. And we're stuck with a 1.6 :(
