I just bought a Aygo Xclusiv X-shift and hope to take delivery in 6 weeks. And I would like to upgrade the 4 Speakers in the car.

The front door houses a 16,5cm speaker and I think I have to order a plastic speakeradapter and a adapter cable to replace it, or am I forgetting something? And what kind of speaker would you recommend? Does someone has a couple of pictures of how to access them?

And does anyone know where can I find the other 2 Speakers and what do I need to replace them? Are they in the rear doors, or somewhere in the dash?

I know I can go to a car audio shop and pay them to do it for me, but where is the fun in that? ;)

Thanks!

The sound system in my Aygo X- Clusive is really quite good. I would argue that just changing the Speakers with no upgrade to the source unit it may just make it sound different rather than better.

What it's better anyway ?

The sound seems, to my ears at least, balanced, clear ,open and reasonable poweful. In the 3 months of ownership it has never entered my mind that they needed replacing despite me being quite familiar with good quality sound systems.

As you haven't got the car yet, why are you so sure that the standard Speakers are in urgent need of replacement ?

It seems a lot of expense and effort to make little, if any, gain over and above the pretty good system that is in there as standard.

I'm not bothered about changing anything, but the Aygo is a noisy car the higher the revs get.

I find the volume getting louder the higher the engine revs, otherwise you can't hear the radio. Town volume is no good on the motorway for example.
