2014 Rav 4 Auto Gearbox

I own a 2014 Rav 4 2.2 invincible, over the last few months I am experiencing loss of power and high fuel consumption whilst towing a caravan. Once cruising in the manual mode and changing down from 6th to 5th there is no difference to the power the car will not accelerate or change the engine revs, but if I change down to 4th the car will and engine revs as you would expect, having reported this problem to my local dealer who reported back that they could not find any problems. Can anyone please help !!
