Hi

My first post so here goes have bought a 2012 2.2 D CAT auto so far extremely pleased with the motor pleasure to drive and tows my caravan like its not there so effortlessly. My reason for posting is can members advise on what to use to treat the part leather seats with. Have already had a nightmare with a lazy boy chair in the house where the leather just disintergrated because of using the wrong products so want to avoid any scenario like that..

All suggestions will be greatly recieved.

Morning Bob.

Linseed oil and a drop of white vinegar warm the oil slighty you only need an egg cup full a few drops of the white stuff mix together and gently rub some in, then give it a soft buff.

I get my Linseed oil from poundland but most shops sell it.

Nikwax does a full range of leather cleaners, sealants and renovators; I use them on my moto leathers, as well as the cars, and the stuff is first class.

I've also got something called Heritage Leathercare ( http://www.heritagepolish.com/leather.html ) that I picked up at an agricultural show. It's an Irish product which is waxy/creamy. You wipe it on sparingly with a sponge, leave it for a while then buff the seats with a soft cloth. Brilliant finish that lasts quite well. Works on the ivory leather in the LC4, i.e. no discolouration.
