i have an avensis t24 2008,is there a way to listen to the radio without the key in ignition,on all my other cars pressing on/off button would turn radio on for a limited time?

your profile says a 2009 which would be a T27 & a 2008 would be a T25. In either case you need to have the key to at least Acc. position.

Toyota don't seem to have permanent power to the radio (unlike e.g. Ford) as a design decision.
