No, it's a hard drive system - updates via USB stick (>5GB)

I have a 2008 XT5 wiith the inbuilt satnav.... how does this update please? Does it do it automatically from the satellites?

it should update position from gps but to update the maps you will need to purchase an update disk/card/download (according to system).
