Hello. Can you help please? I recently bought an 2008 platinum Aygo but the wheel nut lock key/remover is missing from the boot. Does anyone know whether I can just buy one from eBay or do I have to buy a specific one? If so, how/where do I find out the information? I read somewhere about VIN information, is that right or am I just being thick?

Thank you, getting paranoid that I might get a flat tyre or puncture that the tyres need changing and no way of taking the wheel nuts off

Hello Mandy - welcome to Toyota Owners Club.

Take a photo of one of the locking wheel nuts and approach your local Toyota dealer - who should be able to order a suitable removal tool.

Or failing that, send Parts King a personal message (using the personal messaging service of TOC), give the registration number of your car and include the photo in your personal message, and see whether he can supply a removal tool using that info.

For Parts King, go to the Community page, scroll down to Sponsor's Corner and Lindop Toyota.

If that doesn't bear fruit, try contacting Evo Automotive Solutions who may be the OE manufacturer for the Aygo -

have a look in the wallet you would of received with your car containing all the manuals you maybe lucky to find the locking wheel nut card that has the key number on it then all you have to do is quote the wheel key number to toyota you may need to show your v5 log book to prove ownership of the vehicle.

if you dont then toyota will have a master key to undo the locks so you can replace them with a new set but first have a look for the card
