Hi,

Just taken delivery of 6 month old high mileage 1.6 Auris Icon Plus and thought I would join the forum. I purchased the car as an everyday run-around for me, the kids when back from uni and the dog!! I also have a Lexus IS300h which I like to keep immaculate and notice quite a few similarities.

However I have a couple of questions you may be able to help me with:

1) Can the central locking be set to lock automatically as you drive off? – the Lexus does this at a few mph

2) Can you enable a function on the remote key to lower all the windows as you approach the car on a hot day? – again the Lexus can do this but did need coding by the dealer

Unfortunately the answer to both questions is 'no'. The Auris' systems don't provide either auto locking or global opening/closing. As regards auto locking, one may be able to get something from a third party seller to fit to the Auris which will provide this.

You can fit an aftermarket alarm system that has both features: auto lock the doors after engine starts and open all windows when pressing a button on remote.

Thanks you all for the kind greetings and advice, I'm certainly enjoying the car so far and quite impressed with the performance form the 1.6 petrol engine.

Is there any way of deleting all the previous satnav entries? the manual says it will start to delete when 100 entries have been made, my car although only 6 months old is a high mileage (13000) ex Toyota management car and has a huge number of entries from the previous owner that just annoy me!!
