Thinking Of Buying T-sport

:help: I've got a 14 month old Celica 140 which, frankly, has been a pain in the backside. Apart from vibration at speed which Mr T says is normal, flaking alloys, leaking front windows (both sides, going in for 3rd attempt to fix tomorrow morning), alarm going off for no reason and vibration on braking (discs needed skimming) its been wonderful (hint of sarcasm whilst typing).

After driving home in the rain yesterday am watching rivers of water pour in through my passenger window - taking my mind off the same thing happening next to my right shoulder, I've decided enough is enough and it goes. I dont want another Celica, honestly I've lost all confidence in them, so the only viable sporting alternative in the Toyota range is a Corolla T-Sport.

I'd be interested to hear what other owners think of the car, what the handling is like, enjoyment of driving etc. Hopefully I'm having a test drive tomorrow if Mr T can get hold of one in time but feedback from owners would be helpful. :help:

Thanks

To be honest, I will get panned for this.

But would you honestly settle going for another Toyota, or would you best test driving a few other cars, for that sort of money?

If you have lost confidence, you may not be able to rest after ordering, and for that sort of money there is an awfull lot of other cars in your price range!

It just seems the easiest option. I've got Toyota Finance so I dont want to be messing about with other finance / loan companies. I think I just got a 'Monday Morning' Celica - you know, some little Japanese chap on a production line in Osaka (or wherever) having too much Saki the night before.

To be honest, I fancy a Civic Type R but not the insurance. Seat Leon Cupra's look awful to me. I hate Vauxhalls and Fords. Alfa's are unreliable. Nissans plain boring. Golfs have a bad reputation (my mate at works got one - nightmare stories)

There's not a lot left ! I've been spoilt with the performance on the Celica and dont want to move down in that department so a T-Sprt seemed the logical choice.

I'm fed up to put it mildly.

Thanks for your reply anyway.

I'm guessing you have the Toyota bug real bad, good luck whichever way you go, and I hope your new car whatever (hopefully a Toyota) will reach the standards it should!

Hope it all goes well!!

Have my CTS from new since May 03, covered 62K miles already with not a single problem whatsoever... another chap at work got a CTS and again no prob.... BUT my mate got a T3 (02 reg) and his car is simply NIGHTMARE!!! he owes more than 5 toyota in the last 10 yrs but this is it.... no more...

anyway, I will consider buying a pre-reg / low mileage cts for around £13K ish and then go for the TTE supercharged kit (approx. £3K).... performance wise... I will say pretty good... love my traffic light and roundabout grand prix... the car is a lot understated then CTR but personally it's is adequate for me... very comfy seat, love my climate control and the 6 speed box... MUST admit the dampers is a bit too soft... would lowered the car and go for the TTE back box if possible..

Hope it helps.... and the choices is YOURS!!!
