Mkiv Supra Tt - First Time Buyer...

I know you guys may well have covered this before... but, what is the best Supra to go for?

I want the Mk.IV without doubt (no offense to others), want turbo, and want manual (and yes I've read how good the automatic Supras are!)... what is the best model to go for?

Should I be looking at UK car or Jap [starting an argument!]?

I'm looking to spend between £13k and £18k.

Should I be looking at VVTi model?

Thanks. :D

Best of Luck finding an available GOOD UK spec Supra - they are rarer than Henman in a Grand Slam final

If you're gonna get a Supra it has to be a TT Targo Top !

Yeh but that means getting an auto, I know it's supposed to be good but you still can't beat a manual!

Aren't all the 0-60 times for TT Supras faster with the Auto box ??

C'mon... you get a Targa Roof !! Small price to pay for having the Auto.

Also if the gearbox goes on the Manual TT... you'll have one hell of a hefty bill to pay !! That's if you can find anywhere to work on it.

The only time I would consider getting an Auto is if I was getting a TT Targa Top.

gotta admit when you have weather like today it does sway towards getting an auto targa a little

I have to say that i have never wanted a Auto in my life.. and would never have considered one... until yesterday... ;)

I drove my first Auto on the way home from work.. and what a car to start in... Lexus Soarer 2.5 Twin Turbo...

Man... i cant believe how easy it is.. and its just so damn relaxin!...

Then i got back in my tubby and thought to myself... !Removed! 'ell this clutch is hard!..:ph34r:

I can now see the appeal of a powerful Auto car now.. but.. i still would probably go Manual.. :P

The Auto box is a work or art! Always wanted a 6 speed supra, but drove the auto version and it kicks a$$! Driven about 7 6-speed supras and only one auto, one was enough for me.

Only like point something of a second slower on 0-60 but to beat an auto box you need to change gears like a pro.

Trust me with a supra you need both hands on the wheel at all times! I would NEVER buy a manual supra after trying & buying the Auto version
