hi anyone no what colour of engine coolant antifreeze goes in

I don't know what a 53 plate means.but my 2006 2.0 d4d takes pink antifreeze

Is there no coolant in the tank at all? I seen a post I'd also asked about mine.a member on here says pink in everything from 03 onwards.

Pink lasts for 5 years, if you've had blue antifreeze in there the system needs to be flushed through before you add the pink antifreeze.

From my experience with my motorcycles, I use silicate free anti freeze, which happens to be pinkish in colour.....

This silicate free stuff prevents the anti freeze damaging seals etc.

I buy Halfords pre mix, not cheap, but there again, neither is an engine, radiator, water pump etc etc.
