Toyota Picnic 2.2 Diesel 1998

Hi can anybody please help I rang two toyota dealers yesterday and got two answers ..does my toyota picnic have an immobiliser on it and where one says no and one says yes I gotta get it started the part I ordered will be 6 weeks

It should have a chipped transponder key, what is the problem?

Hi I had a worn ignition barrel so I ordered another one but in the process my barrel jammed and I could not get the steering lock off so I got trailed home then took my barrel out I undone the white plastic piece off the back and managed to turn it to start the car I drove to my mother in laws 10 mins away now it won't start just turns over I got told because of the age it has no chip in it plz can you help
