Avensis Rear Seats

Hi Guys,

Brand new here, but hoping you experts can help out!

I've just bought a 2006 Avensis Hatchback, 2.0 d4d. Lovely bit of kit, really pleased with it.

I want to completely remove the base of the rear seat... I can easily fold it up and see it's secured with two 12mm bolts to the car's body. I have tried to remove these but they are not shifting AT ALL. Seem incredibly tight. Don't want to strain them if they're not meant to be released or if I'm missing something (and I'm at risk of rounding the corners off them!).

Am I missing something here?! Is there a different way that they are removed?
