How Do I Take The Back Seat Off 2015 Yaris? Car Seats Stinks

Hi guys, I have a huge problem. My wife left a bottle of fish sauce(pictured) open and accidentally soaked the seats. I was really angry because it smells really bad and I tried wiping it and soaking it with fabric conditioner, etc but one day after, the stinking smell is still in the car especially when you first open it. I am thinking of taking it off and washing it. Do you have any suggestions?

Problem will be that the sauce will have soaked into the foam of the seat, and it will be really difficult to remove the smell. Have you thought about claiming on your insurance?

You could try getting a steam/vacuum cleaner on it such as used for carpets and furnishings. Contact a local carpet cleaner.

Dont want to claim on insurance yet as still trying to find other solutions for taking the stink out. :ermm: Is there a manual to take the back seats off? I will try to fully wash it. Will it make it worse?

A mixture of Baking soda (lots of) and warm water may do the trick but the problem is getting at it! I've just looked in my hybrid and getting the back seats out looks tricky to say the least! Whatever you do, do not even think about any other types of chemically based cleaners as you will just compound the smell problem... A few bags of activated charcoal in the back seat well may help reduce the smell a bit... Of all the sauces available to spill!!! :death:

I know right?! I was telling her not to put anything liquid inside the car! Even a spelt water would cross me, then this happened. Imagine my dismay! Will the baking soda make white marks on the seats? Im going to try Hi foam shampoo and odour eliminator by AG as my friend suggested then leave some coals as you suggested. I saw an enzyme eater called valet pro online as well and I will try that if everything did not work.
