Hello,

Can anyone shed any light on how to remove/replace the rear washer/wiper nozzle on my 2002 corolla T3?

I can access the back of the nozzle and remove the pipe etc but the gap between tailgate and spoiler appears too small and i can't see how its removed?

Is there a knack to it?

Thanks in advance

Looking in the haynes manual it shows the nozzle is removed by squeezing the retaining lugs , then the whole lot pops out; but thats showing a standard model without any spoiler.

Unless the spoiler has enough 'flex' to allow you to get it out, assume you have to remove or loosen the spoilers fixing, but no idea how thats done, not covered in any manual I have.

Perhaps others with one fitted can help.

Why are you wanting to remove the nozzle, assume its bunged up, usually a pin will clear things ...?

Hi,

Thanks for coming back to me, yeah i can see the lugs and i can detach it but its too large to come back through the hole and the spoiler is in the way to remove from the inside out over (if that makes sense)

The jet is blocked (water flows freely if you remove the pipe at the nozzle and work the switch), i've tried compressed air and using various cleaning solutions to unblock it but nothing has worked yet. The spoiler also doesn't allow room to insert a pin............... i've worked in the motor trade for 15 years (VW Group and Peugeot main dealers/head office) and i'm suprised at what appears to be an oversight (surely in a Toyota workshop you wouldn't have to remove the spoiler if for what ever reason you where changing the nozzle.....)

Cheers

Chris
