Advice For Newbie

Hi all. As a Lexus driver I already consider myself a fully fledged member of the Toyota family already and have made some great friends over on the Lexus Owners Club.

However due to my wife passing her test last week we have invested in a 2nd car for her. A nice little 2003 Yaris auto 1.3. Service history from Toyota over the years. Back in 2012 the owner spent over £1000 on work so definitely appears to have been looked after.

An advisory on the MOT though appears to be something about the nearside headlight unit misty but at present not reducing light output. On looking at it the passenger side does seem very misty compared with the crystal clear drivers side.

Now I have seen the part on eBay and I am just wondering if they are relatively easy to change over. I do not know much about cars in the fixing them sense but if it is a matter of a few screws I would have a go. All advice greatly appreciated. Finally I look forward to getting to know you all over the next few years in the Toyota Owners Club!

I believe its a bumper off job, however there is an easier way, and thats with a drill and restoration kit like this from Halfords. Worked a treat on our mk1 headlight units.

Blimey just saw the video of that! Not heard of it before but will definitely give that a try first. Thanks for the help, all the best!
