Strut Bar For Diesel Auris

Hi,

I' ve been lurking around the Auris forums a bit trying to find a suitable Strut Bar for my '07 D4D Auris. I am currently looking at CUSCO at Weichers-Sport. Contacted an on line retailer about the CUSCO bar and they said that their strut bars are for the petrol Auris, i.e. NZE151H and ZRE152H.

Has anyone fitted a CUSCO strut bar to their Toyota Auris Diesel (to be precise, 2007 Toyota Auris 2.0 D4D TSpirit chassis type ADE150)? I've seen some Wiechers-Sport bars fitted on Deisel but not CUSCO. Just thought I'd ask here before going for the purchase.

Cheers :)

Not much difference in the engine bay if you compare petrol and diesel. But it might not fit if they say so. You can also look for Greddy bar, but I think Wiechers is the cheapest and looks better than Cusco as it is silver without the blue ends.

Hmm yes I found it strange myself as I did not think there would be much of a difference. Really tempted to buy the Wiechers bar, from the pics posted on this forum, they look sweet in the bay and people seem to like them.

I looked for a GReddy bar but could not find any listed online. Per chance would you have site in mind that sells them?

Thank you very much for your help.

GReddy is also nice bar, most probably has to be ordered directly from Japan. I've seen it installed but not sold anywhere. Was looking for one myself when purchasing bar for my car.

You could send e-mail to greenline.jp and nengun.com. Yahoo auctions is a place worth checking aswell.

Best of luck and please keep us posted about how it goes!

Thank you for the links, though shipping from Japan could be a bit too pricey for my budget. I'll continue looking around see if anything crops up.

If you don't mind me asking, which bar did you go for yourself?

In that case Wiechers is your best bet. Cheap, easy to find and from Europe. Maybe you have distributor even in your own country. This would be good because you could visit and see if the bar will fit your diesel.

I ended up getting Wiechers bar aswell, the adjustable one but without carbon as it makes no difference I believe, just a film wrapped around. Please see my thread.

Yeah most probably that is the one I'm going to get. Thanks a lot for your help and sweet ride ;)

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but could anyone give me the torque specifications for the strut bolts that need to be undone when installing the strut bar?
