Verso Starting Problem

Hello,

I've got a Verso 2.2, 2013. I have a starting problem. I have to press down the clutch to start the car every time. What could possibly be the problem.

Also, while the car is running there seems to a rhythmic sound from the engine or tyres not sure, the sound increases and decreases depending the speed.

Please help.

It isn't a 'starting problem'.

Most recent Toyotas require the clutch to be fully depressed before starting the engine as a safety measure - to prevent the car lurching forwards or backwards if started when in gear.

My 2009 and 2012 Auris have had this feature, and our 2015 Hyundai i20 also has the same feature.

Have you read your owner's manual?
