Toyota 4773012451 Brake Caliper, Similar Type Parts Where To Find:

Recommended Posts

I own a "Toyota Corolla Touring 1,3 liter Model EE10" 97 model. It is a old car and I was thinking not to spend too much on parts.

In Lithuania the parts are very reasonable. About 1/8 of the regular price, these are of course then not original.

According to lithuanian resellers there are 3 types of the caliper available from other vendors.

The problem is that I do not know which type to go for as they say those caliper differs.

I am then confused.

I have to change the brake discs too.

Please take a look at the enclosed picture.

The original Toyota part number is 4773012451. How to find the similar part from other manufacturers?

How to find out where the car is built? It was bought in Norway.

I would have thought that any good motor factor's or there equivalent would have been able to match them up when you had the orginal part number

For UK built Corollas there are two popular caliper types fitted , Aisin and Lucas.

If you look on the front surface of the calipers you will see some stamped marking which show which make they are ,Toyota TRW are the Lucas type, see pic below.

If you look at this site for your model /year it might show what types are available and have some pics you can match with yours.

If still the original , your flexible brake hoses are well past their renewal date.

Thanks! Perfect. I tried to find it myself but perhaps it was the wrong link? Did you find it on http://www.eurocarparts.com/ ? I tried to search there with 4773012451 and 47730-12451, but came up with nada. How did you find it? :-)

You just need to do a bit of detective work on the web.....and try and match the parts to what you want..and then used those details with your local supplier. Cost might be an issue as these parts are getting scarce now.

If you have the Norwgian registration number I can probaly find the chassis number. From the chassis number you can find the exact specification of the car.
