Imported 1988 Toyota Corolla - Too Good To Scrap - Richmond, Greater L

Hi,

My girlfriends father, G, has come into possession of a Toyota Corolla that is, in his opinion as a garage owner, "too good to scrap". It's a '88, possibly '87 but imported to Britain in '91, 1.3L Corolla with 75 000km on the clock. For the past ten years it has been sat in a garage as the man who owned it previously fell ill but the only issue that G's mechanic has found is the need to replace the carburettor although obviously this is not a guarantee that everything else is perfect.

G's intent was to fix it up quickly as his other daughter found the aesthetics of the car very pleasing but he failed to take into account the lack of power steering and figured that might be a bit much for a new driver.

If there is any interest I'll add some photos, it is apparently very nice. Especially the bodywork, upholstery and interior in general.

Finally, the car will need to be collected from near the centre of Richmond, Greater London and G would like a nominal fee of £50 "scrap value" as he spent that much on something that might have fixed the carburettor before he noticed the lack of power steering. Also due to the limited amount of space he has for storing cars, he will resort to scrapping the Corolla if there is no interest by Monday afternoon.

Nice car I would give it a little longer than Monday for £50 I see no problems in getting rid of it he could get more. Pitty I didn't live near London :( looks good and I sure would have been interested. He should also try classic sites, but it looks to good to scrap from the photo's.

Yeah, tried the Corolla club on here at least, got moved to here which makes sense since he wants £50 for it. Thanks for the suggestions though.
