Avensis Front Grille Trim

On 2012-15 model Avensis, there are some thin chrome-effect strips that fix to a highlight the slats of the front grille.

Does anyone know if these strips can be removed and replaced? If so, how can this be done?

(The ones in my car are starting to tarnish and dull, so I'd like to replace them if it's practical to do so)

If they're tarnishing on a 2014 year car I'd be looking for a warranty claim.

Car's 2012 and the dulling is only very slight at their top edge. It might be that a bit if stray polish caught them and caused this.

Could be hard to pursue a claim, but even harder still if it means having to remove the front number to get at them - it'll simply not be worth the hassle.

That's why it would be useful to know how they fix on and would have to be replaced.
