Fuel Crisis - What Fuel Crisis ?

The Manchester Evening News yesterday ran an article on the high cost of fuel and came up with 10 ways to avoid spending a fortune on petrol.

1. Buy a Sinclair C5 (nice if you could still get them)

2. Buy a Segway (never heard of this one) :(

3. Horse and cart (ok if you have room to stable the horse)

4. Buy a TOYOTA PRIUS (now that makes sense)

5. Harness hydrogen (apparantly produces more harmful emmisions than petrol) :o

6. Liquid Petrolium Gas (another good idea) :)

7. Milk float (very short range)

8. Be Clever (something being researched at university of Bath)

9. Use cooking oil (illegal and highly dangerous)

10. Walk (an excellent idea - trouble is its 30 miles to work!) :crybaby:

I think I'll stick with option 4. In fact i think it really should be option 1.

Not wishing to picky but.......here goes.

If you burn Hydrogen you get water as a waste product - or to give it its correct chemical name - Carling

I know us smug Prius drivers are getting 50+ mpg but it still hurts to pay silly money for fuel. On the other hand, if they didn't tax fuel what would they tax instead?
