Yaris Seat Recliners Getting Stuck

Hi all,

I have a 2008 5 door yaris 1.3vvt

I reclined the back seats today to hoover the carpet and the rear seat is now stuck in the folded down position. I have had a look at the cable and locking mechanism and it all appears to be ok, even though the lock mechanism is only turning a very small amount when the lever is pulled.

Ive tried forcing the mechanism further with a screwdriver and also forcing the whole seat, not advisable but I tried it anyway.

So im a bit miffed as nothing appears to be broken.

Any ideas would be great ?
